The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are new items that boost your stats. item upgrading can be used to upgrade trinkets, armor and weapons.

Armor

For instance, if you have new Benthic gear from War Within Mythic Dungeon, it will be level 385 by default and can be upgraded to a higher level with [Prismatic Manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE gear are available to all accounts. Upgrades to your PvP equipment will require a specific currency such as [Valorstones] and [Harbinger Crests[Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade additional gear in an armor slot decreases after the initial upgrade.
Weapons
Weapons are an essential element of any successful character. They can be used to deter the wrathful monster, take down an intruder, or compete in a target shooting contest. Or they can simply hang on the wall. Regardless of how you plan to utilize a specific weapon, you should be aware that it can be upgraded and will evolve according to your style of play.
The process of upgrading weapons is done by visiting a Blacksmith that has a Weapon Workbench available. It is located in the right-hand side of the Roundtable Hold hub area, Blacksmith Hewg is a good option to upgrade your primary weapon. In general upgrading an item will increase the level of its weapon by 5. However it is the case for Azerite weaponry (see below) and other special weaponry the item's level will increase by 15. A player can only have one active upgrade at any given time. If you attempt to upgrade your weapon while another upgrade is being applied it will fail and your weapon will return to its original ilvl.
In addition to increasing the weapon's level of a weapon an upgrade can also grant it additional stats that can be used to enhance the power of the weapon. Some of these upgrades are passive, while others will provide more damage, faster attacks, increased range, or even critical strike opportunities.
Ashes of War weapons are awarded when certain bosses of raid are defeated. Other upgrades can be applied to weapons with Whetblades, which are rare items that allow you to unlock new Affinities to infuse the weapon with.
When a weapon is upgraded it will continue to receive upgrades in the event that the player has the proper upgrade materials and currency in to. It's important to note that weapons are only upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 25. Therefore, players should only upgrade their weapons once they've obtained the maximum number of upgrades through regular and Whetblade items.
Trinkets
The Trinkets can provide a range of Boosts. They can be upgraded just like other equipment through interaction with an Item Upgrader NPC.
You can find an item upgrader in the town of Stardew Valley. To use it, you need to first remove any armor or weapons that you have equipped. The NPC will then appear with an orange banner "Equiped" over his head.
